Section 1 - What Do We Do with Your Information?
When you make a purchase from our store, we collect personal information such as your name, address, and email address as part of the transaction process. Additionally, when you browse our store, we automatically receive your computer’s IP address to help us understand your browser and operating system.
If you consent, we may also send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.
Section 2 - Consent
How Do You Get My Consent?
When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for delivery, or return a purchase, we assume you consent to our collecting and using it for that specific purpose only. If we request your information for secondary purposes, such as marketing, we will ask you directly for your explicit consent or provide an opportunity to decline.
How Do I Withdraw My Consent?
If you change your mind after opting in, you can withdraw your consent for us to contact you or to continue collecting, using, or disclosing your information at any time by contacting us at luxe.laden@luxeladen.com.
Section 3 - Disclosure
We may disclose your personal information if required by law or if you violate our Terms of Service.
Section 4 - Shopify
Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc., which provides us with the e-commerce platform to sell our products and services. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and the Shopify application, secured behind a firewall.
Payment:
If you choose a direct payment gateway, Shopify stores your credit card data encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase. After that, it is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to PCI-DSS standards managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort by brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. These standards ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and service providers.
For more information, you can read Shopify’s Terms of Service or Privacy Statement.
Section 5 - Third-Party Services
In general, third-party providers will only collect, use, and disclose your information as needed to perform the services they provide to us. However, some third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we are required to provide for your transactions. We recommend reading their privacy policies to understand how your personal information will be handled.
Certain providers may be located in or have facilities in a different jurisdiction than you or us. Therefore, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where the service provider or its facilities are located. For example, if you are in Canada and your transaction is processed by a U.S.-based payment gateway, your information may be subject to U.S. laws, including the Patriot Act.
Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party site or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy or our website’s Terms of Service.

Section 6 - Security

If you provide your credit card information, it is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with AES-256 encryption. While no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional industry standards.
